Add the lemon juice and the brown sugar (depending on the degree of ripeness of the strawberries), mix gently. Add half of the basil leaves, cover with a cling film and let macerate in the refrigerator 1 hr 3 Remove the cling film, remove the wilted basil leaves. Add the rest of the basil leaves to the salad just before serving.
